14 Palestinians Killed, Including Children, in Israeli Strike on Family Home in Northern Gaza

Gaza: At least 14 Palestinians, including six children and three women, were killed in an Israeli air raid targeting a family home in the northern Gaza town of Jabalia al-Balad, according to Gaza’s Civil Defence. The strike hit the al-Barash family residence on Old Gaza Street, leveling the home and burying dozens beneath the rubble.

Initially, reports confirmed two deaths, but rescue teams later updated the toll after hours of pulling bodies from the debris. Civil Defence spokespersons said more than 20 individuals remain missing under the ruins, feared dead or critically injured. With nightfall complicating rescue operations and a lack of heavy equipment due to siege conditions, recovery efforts are slow and agonizing.

This latest attack adds to the mounting civilian toll in Gaza, where residential areas have borne the brunt of Israeli air raids since the escalation began. The Gaza Health Ministry’s latest figures record at least 54,470 Palestinians killed and over 124,693 wounded, while the Government Media Office places the death toll even higher—above 61,700—accounting for the thousands still trapped beneath collapsed buildings.

Jabalia, one of Gaza’s most densely populated areas, has seen repeated strikes despite being home to thousands of displaced civilians. As the war enters its ninth month, families like the al-Barashes continue to be wiped out in a conflict that has turned homes into graves and entire neighborhoods into rubble.
